I have extensive experience in Higher Education as both a teacher and manager.

This includes:-

  •  As Director of Learning Enhancement at Dartington, being responsible for staff development, peer observation and teaching quality.
  • Being nominated by Dartington College of Arts as a National Teaching Fellow.
  • As Director of Music, designing and writing innovative awards that substantially increased recruitment.
  • Quality management and appraisal of a team of more than 30 full and part-time tutors and teachers.
  • Setting up an international exchange programme for staff and students that linked Dartington with institutions in the USA, New Zealand and Australia.
  • Personal teaching experience in many coutries in Europe and worldwide
  • Member of Academic Board at both Dartington and University College Falmouth and member of the Board of Governors at Dartington.
  • External advisor for validation and External Examiner at all levels from Foundation to PhD for more than 10 institutions
  • Experience of specifying and liaising on building project design for music.
  • Setting up links with industry for commercial and staff development.
